marriage confirmed, Dave, i have seen original. He is of Eddleston and she of Linton.

Can't see how they are half siblings. Mother in most of the records and doesn't die until 1861.

There is a David Cairns who dies in Edinburgh (St Cuthberts) in 1843 aged 72. Can't find in 1841 and says dies in Workhouse - possibly Margaret's husband but sure there would be poor relief nearer home in Peeblesshire.

Children of John Draper/Mary Cairns

Mary 1793
David 1795
Margaret 1797
Kathrine 1800
John 1802

all Logie.

Not seeing Janet but obviously she is of this couple.

Drappers buried at Logie in pre 1855s are a David Drapper, shoe maker and "middle aged" died of fever

And his wife Janet McNeil also of fever. Both died 1787 at Bridge of Allan. David buried 27 March and his wife, 7th April

Possible parents of John Drapper?
