She may have died between 1848-1855

Several deaths for a mary peth* but no Mary E or Mary Elizabeth.

No sign of a Maria in 1851 in FS.

Yeah, this is another problem, when Henry remarried in 1855 he was a widower [as opposed to divorced], the marriage to Maria Maunder was the only one I could find that would fit. And, like you I couldn't find her death, so it puts that in doubt

I may have to get the certs. for those two marriages, certainly for the second one, his wife has been found in 1861 and he possibly died 1860.
