I have no James FURNER in my tree. My branch was from Brede. James is not a name in any of 10 generations of my line.

No, it just means that there are three FURNER families in NSW. My line from Charles & Mary who arrived 1838 with 6 children - origin Brede.

And William and family and brother Frederic and family who arrived in 1842 - origin Iden.

I will check, but I don't think there is a connection between 1840 and 1666. :biggrin:


The Furner descendants from Brede play Rugby Union and the others play Rugby League. :2fun:

However, it seems all Furners are short and solidly built. :) I'm out of the mould by gaining some height from Hamilton side. :biggrin:
