I wonder how many times our ancestors have witnessed marriages or registered deaths of people and we dont know about them yet. Ie neighbours, friends, or relatives not yet discovered.

In 1851 my 3xgreat grandad was in Westminster, he married in 1856 in hackney before settling in Pancras, and I have yet no record of where he lived inbetween 1851 and March 1856. And you never know if he was the informant to any of his friends or neighbours, rellies deaths in that time.
