Hi Debbie and welcome You don't need help with your family tree from our genies I'm thinking.
Good luck trying to connect to other members of your tree.

Debbie,

Complicated indeed.

Your great Aunt Emma Jane Storey went on to marry twice and I am the grandson of her marriage to Arthur Ball.

Over the years I have been working with the few members of our extended family whom I know. I would be happy to share information with you but I am absolutely stuck on William Storey. The family has a habit of lying on official forms so I even wonder if that was his real name or just one he used when he married Martha and had all of the children.

I would be very interested in the "snippet" mentioned by Lostrider
Thank you
I came across a newspaper article whilst researching my Grandmother (Mary Giblin). Her stepfather was Thomas Maloney who married my widowed Great Grandmother on 27/11/1888 but didn't, (as far as I know) have any children by him. She already had 5 children to my real Great Granddad (James Giblin)

Anyway I found a court report from Saturday 15 February 1890 where Thomas Maloney was accused of fighting in a bar and his witness was Emma Eaves of Eckington. The judge asks what relationship she is to Thomas Maloney and she replies she has had a few children by him (& the court erupts with laughter)

I will try and put the photo up of the report as soon as I work out how. :)
