Mary Ann Evans

Bendigo, Victoria
Could someone please find Mary Ann Evans in the 1891 and onwards Censuses, although she was 65 in the 1881 Census.

The 1881 census shows (in Charlton Kings, Glos)
1881 Census
108 Park Street,
Mary Ann Evans, unmarried, Head 65 Schoolmistress, Glos
Marian Brunsdon, unmarried, Lodger 66, dressmaker, Glos, Cirencester

1871 Census
Mary Ann Evans, lodger 53/19 Park Street unmarried 55 Schoolmistress, Glos.

1861 Census
Joseph Evans, 24 Park Street, widower 75 Retired nurseryman of Eldersfield, Worcester
Mary Ann 45 unmarried daughter Seamstress Gloucester
Jane Powell, Lodger, widow, Laundress, Bedingham, Summer, Charlton Kings.

Her parents lived in Park House and the nursery was called "The Nurseries" in London Road.
Hi again

There is nothing concrete or really that close in the censuses. Do you have anything to show she was around in 1891?

There is this death that fits...

Deaths Q1 1887
Evans Mary Ann
71 Cheltenham
6a, 311

No I don't have any proof she was around in 1891 Geoff, I just wondered. But that death would be hers for sure as they lived in Charlton Kings/Cheltenham area.

My thanks again for your prompt help.

I wish I could someone - preferably with Australian genealogy (NSW & WA) :)
Love it - I think I have been as guilty in the past. :D
Will look in at that particular thread more often, might even be able to contribute!
