Hi

Mary Ellen Musgrave was the sister of my 3xgreat grandfather George Musgrave born 1856 and the daughter of Thomas Musgrave, the one who emigrated to Pennsylvania, America in 1886 after his wife died.

She was born in the June quarter of 1868 in Coundon, Durham. She is on the 1881 census living with her older sister Jane Bayles in West Auckland in 1881 aged 12, a scholar.

This is the last I hear of her. Thomas Musgrave emigrated in August 1886 with his youngest daughter Margaret only. If she did emigrate she went at a different time to her father.

A Mary Helen Musgrave wed in 1893 in Warrington but I think this one was born in 1875 as there was one born in 1875 as well as the one born in 1868.

Could anybody help me find her please at all?

Ben

EDIT I now have my doubts. I couldn't find them in 1891 and I thought the age I had for Mary in 1901 may be out a few years. Since then found her in the next census and her age is 51, so too old.... sorry

North Fayette Township in the USA i believe Susan....be warned there are hundreds:eek:

Musgrave is a popular name in the states, also bear in mind she may have married by then,so she could have had a different sirname on her records i presume.

My 3xgreat grandfather Thomas Musgrave arrived iN America in 1886. He settled in the Allegheny area of Pennsylvania. Maybe his daughter went later as said. I cannot find her on the 1891 census.
