Mary Jack Stewart

Hi,

I'm researching several lines of family. Now I'm concentrating on a Scottish line. Anyone know of any info on Mary Jack Stewart? I have later info, but not of her early life.

Name: Mary Jack Stewart
Born/Died: Oct 3, 1888-? 1968
Birthplace: Forfarshire, Scotland. Or Arbroath. Unsure.
Parents: Isabella ??? (possibly Coutts), <first name unknown> Stewart
Emmigrated to Canada: Year Unknown
Married: Walter Alred Cowling on Jan 20, 1920 (not sure about date)

I found a Mary Jack Stewart at 12 years of age in the 1901 census, but no sign of her parents, Isabella and whoever her Stewart father was. I have pictures, but no names. I found Isabella Coutts, born around 1850s and who had married a Stewart and they had a young daughter, Mary. I think it was the 1891 census.

Trying to find out where she was born, and what the names of her parents were. She was living near her parents until or at the time they died, all three living in Canada at the time.

That's the one! On my grandfather's birth certificate it says her birthplace was Arbroath.

That's strange, because I'm sure that's the family. There's even my late grandfather's aunt Liz there! If that's them. I wonder what happend to Mary, why she may not have been living with them.

I saw her at 12, or someone with her name, living in another household, without her parents, and with several possibly family members, plus a grandfather, Angus, in 1901(?).

Do you know why this might be so?
