The only William I can find in London/Middx/Surrey in 1851 is a policeman with wife Mary.

Another of my easy ones. Trees have very little detail.

Mary Jane Hansford formerly Bunting
Born about 1839 in England
Daughter of [father unknown] and [mother unknown]
[sibling(s) unknown]
[spouse(s) unknown]

Don't know if Catherine is correct but Howard should be as it's a middle name.

1914 VIC Electoral Roll - Kooyong - Canterbury
HANSFORD James, Canterbury rd., Canterbury, independant means
HANSFORD Mary Jane, Canterbury rd., Canterbury, home duties
HANSFORD Alfred Howard, Canterbury rd., Canterbury, barrister
HANSFORD Mary Helen, Canterbury rd., Canterbury, home duties

?
Deaths Sep Qtr 1866
Bunting Catherine 61 Richmond S 2a 153

Age at death points to 1839 or 1840 for Mary Jane so father William may have died by 1841 census.

Any Catherine Bunting in 1841, 1851 and 1861 in Middex/London/Surrey ??

Possible they did leave before the census given this.. A tree has 2 Apr 1861 not validated.

Thanks Geoff.

Mother as Howard should be correct but Catherine may or may not be.

So many bits can't be found.
