The Sydney Morning Herald - Tue 9 Jul 1929 p.7
QUARTER SESSIONS. NO. 1. COURT. I
(Before Judge Curlewis.) I Crown Prosecutor, Mr. V. H. Treatt.
FALSE PRETENCES.
Alexander Pringle 42, barman, pleaded guilty to having obtained £250 from Henry Forbes Smith, at Petersham, on March 23, by falsely pretending that he had a mortgage for a motor lorry, a steam boiler, six feed tanks, and 344 pigs, then at the premises known as The Piggery, Kissing Point-road, Turramurra and that a certain mortgage then produced by him had been signed by Peter Haggart. The prisoner was sentenced to 12 months' hard labour.

Don't know if that means others of the Haggart family came to Australia or if Alexander just needed any name for his plan.

The first son named Alexander didn't die before 1888 because he is in the 1891 census above.

The grandson ?? became a son in the following census.

Thanks Geoff.

Marriage 1867 PRINGLE ALEXANDER - DEWAR MARGARET 456/ 19 Scoonie (Fife)

I don't have the family in 1871.

I'll search using Maragret Nielson.

I can't find a Pringle marriage to a Maragret Nielson.

Birth 1888 PRINGLE ALEXANDER M 419/ 1 Cults (Fife)

The image would show if Euphemia was the mother but I'm low on credits.
On that tree, it looks as though this is his parents..

"Alexander PRINGLE
1867–

Margaret NIELSEN
1868–"

This is his sister Euphemia's parents

"Alexander PRINGLE
1845–

Margaret DEWAR
1840–"

So Alxeander b. 1867 and Eupemia are siblings?
