Hi Dave,

There's this death registration.

Mary Jane Ferguson
Death date 30 Oct 1907
Age 55
Death place Norwood
Father John Ferguson
Residence place Maylands
Registration place Norwood South Australia

I know fathers surname is Ferguson could this be an error? or perhaps the informant did'nt know the surname.

Hello Julie,

Thanks for that one. I'm not sure. That would mean Mary Jane returned to SA. The family arrived in SA 1847-1848 and moved to Victoria between 1853 and 1855 from birth and death records in both states.

Mary Jane is listed in 1855 as the only surviving child aged 6 on her father's death certificate. At least one researcher believes she died within a year, so 1855 or 1856. From the reg of cousins born in Victoria the name can be Nancarrom, Mancarrow, ...
