Maybe totally wrong here, but there is this Mary Green

1841,
James Green age 60, Brazier
Price Hughes age 28, Tin Man
David Parry age 22, Tin Man
Mary Green age 30.

All born in county, but no sign of John Green if this is the correct Mary.
HO107; Piece 1406; Book: 1; Civil Parish: Denbigh; County: Denbighshire; Enumeration District: 2; Folio: 24; Page: 11; Line: 15

Hi everyone.

Thank you for that, what I really need to know is who her parents were as there is no GRO record as it is before 1837, and I cannot access parish records for that period. I have even subscribed to a site but this has proved to be a waste of money as they seem to only have London area records, no Welsh.

Hi Steve

Don't worry, you are suffering with the common geniologists complaint reliconfusion,:2fun: not fatal! you just keep having nightmares and shouting, "who were they!" in the middle of the night.

As far as I know via hints from Ancestry Johns parents were William Green and Sarah Griffiths (I have been unable to confirm this or find dates or places.

Hi Friends,

I now have Mary Savages marriage cert. but no name of father for her, neither is an occupation listed,

Her husband John Green (born abt. 1816) is listed as Collier, His father William Green was a collier. the address given as the residence for Mary and John is Morton Above. The witnesses were Edward Jones and Mary Jones.

The Marriage took place on December 22 1839 by banns in Ruabon parish church,All signed with X mark

Hi Friends

Could I ask an oppinion please, I have today been to look at the Parish records of Ruabon (baptisims) The only record I can find for a Mary Savage is July 3rd 1825, with the fact in mind that her dob on the census is either 1811 or 1815 according to which one I look at do you think this could be 'my Mary' as this would make her 10 or 14 at time of baptisim?

Hi Gwen,
I have had rellies baptised from the age of 1 month to 20 years old, some even baptised a week before their wedding.
Are there any other details that would back up Mary Savage. Who was at the baptism. Witnesses/parents etc.
If you are sure that she was born there, then it is more than likely her.

The age on census varies wildly as we all know. But at least it's a guide.

Hi Steve

On all but 1 census her birthplace is given as Ruabon on the other one it says Wareham, Denbighshire, but I think this is a misstranscription of Wrexham, as there is no record of a place called Wareham in Denbighshire.

The records are all typed in a book of parish records of Ruabon, Place of birth given as Poncie which is part of the parish of Ruabon. I didn't have time to ask if they have more detailed records.

Thank you for your kind help.

Gwen :)
