Jayne,

This may be the Smiths in 1851

Civil parish Old Stratford

Milton Row

Thomas Smith head married age 23 occ labourer in brewery
Mary wife age 30 born Pillerton//Pillsdon (place of birth different)
Mary dau age 6 born Stratford
James son age 3 born Stratford

There is a marriage for a Mary Archer who married in 1849 December 1/4 district Stratford Upon Avon, also a Thomas Smith is listed among others.

Jayne to determine James father you need to get his birth certificate (will give you fathers name and mothers maiden name) and marriage certficate (both fathers names and occupations) as you could end up with the wrong family.
