David SCOTLAND & Mary STEWART
Marriage 1891 Dunfermline, Fife

I'd like a look up please for Mary and David in 1891. Don't know if the marriage was before or after the census. May not even be the right marriage.

The tree won't load yet again but it seems to indicate the marriage was before the 1891 census and that Mary was working in a Damask factory.

Thanks dave.

I won't get that marriage just yet.

Just checked the births and only one Mary born Dunfermline 1855-1861 so that's a good sign.

Oh, and one Mary STUART 1855.

I'm not feeling well so having a very early night.

I can't see a baptism for James around 1898 on FS and SP after 1855 does not let you enter parents names.

It looks as though David may have been a widower when he married Mary Stewart... there are a couple of trees, one has this for 31 Dec 1880, spouse Jane Buchanan..

Quote:
David was a power loom tenter living at James Place, Dunfermline, and Jane was a Damask Factory worker living at Netherton Street, Dunfermline, where they were married by Dunfermline Free Abbey Church Minister. Witnesses were John Buchanan and Janet Scotland. This marriage record confirms all parents. End Quote

Thanks Geoff.

I'm still not 100% sure it's my Mary. I currently have credits but this is a bit off my main line so not sure I'll get a copy of the death certificate.
