The Ballarat Star (Vic.) - Sat 10 Nov 1900 p.1
The funeral of the late Mrs Harris took place yesterday when the remains were interred in the New Cemetery. The coffin bearers were Messrs W. Hicks, A. Hicks, H. Gingell, and G. Gingell. Mr J. West Lau conducted service at the house and grave. Messrs Jordan and Tippett were the undertakers.

First birth i can find in VIC was in 1855. So that would put arrival between Sept 1853 to sometime in 1855.

Maybe 'family' means another family member in this case, such as sister. There is a Jane Harris, seamstress listed.

If this is correct from a tree then I have the right burial record for William. Then it is odd that Mary is in a different section of the cemetery.

"Died 20 Oct 1885 Armstrong St, Ballarat, Vic." ?

I've not been able to confirm that. No Will/Probate on PROV.

The year is ok Geoff but 3x William Harris died that year and I have nothing yet that points to that burial.

Now I have just found two others in that grave.
