I can't see a death for Matilda or as Ellen.

I can see no remarriage to 1938, the close of on-line BMD index.

Ok this is what i have found..

Matilda must have had a brother here as well or maybe a nephew who was born in England arrived here.

Don't know which brother also arrived, or perhaps just a nephew arrived.

Oh. I'd better put surname = JAMES

Can't see a death for a Thomas JAMES with father = William or Albert - Matilda's younger brothers.

No marriage 1902 -19 for an E. BEAMAN in Qld.

It might just be a coincidence Dave.

Clearly says "... her nephew, Mr. Thomas James, ..."
