Hi to all forum members.....

My name is Andy, and have been trying to "do", the family tree for nearly 3 years now.

I have had some joy finding out about my family history, but so many things come up to annoy you, dont they?.

For instance, my GG Grandfather George Suggett/itt, (spelt both ways depending on who wrote it down), was according to my G Grandmothers birth certificate, married to a Sarah Ann Whiteley. Checking the BMD register, I found the George Suggett/itt's, and sent off my money. Sadly, none of them are the right ones, so I cannot even confirm my GG Grandmothers family at this time.

Another anoyance, is my GGG Grandfather, who never appears with his family in census returns, and even seems to have dissapeared in death, as his death entry cannot be found, only inferred by other documentary evidence.

I have in the past done transcriptions for the Dorset OPC, and will probably do so again, as I find searching things out, and shedding a light on the past, a lot of fun.

Good hunting to all.......

Andy

Hi Andy,

Welcome to FHUK!

I have a similarly annoying 3xGt Grandfather who managed to hide in each census. He was listed as a journeyman on his wedding certificate, which probably explains it, but he also disappeared without any trace of a death listing.

Hopefully someone on the board can find your missing rellie! Good luck with the search.

Cheers,
Jill
