Mrs. E. Mellefont.
The death occurred at her residence, Martin-street, off Bowen-terrace, on Thursday afternoon, of Mrs. Ellen Mellefont, whose late husband was associated with the founding of several newspapers in Queensland. Included amongst them was the "Observer," which, although started at Ipswich, was later removed to Brisbane. The late Mrs. Mellefont was born in Ireland 77 years ago: Her father, the late Mr. Edward McCarthy, brought his family out to Queensland in the sailing ship Venilia, which arrived in Brisbane in October, 1865. ...
Several queries. The baptism has father as Edmund and the obit Edward. I don't have his arrival or his death. I also don't have the right death yet for Honora, 4 possible and can't be this one if age is correct. It's the only one that has born Ireland:
1925/B46764 Honorah McCarthy - Lawlor - ** born Ireland aged 79 years
