Oh. :biggrin: No wonder I could not find it on SP.

I should have guessed Ireland. His mother and father-in-law were both born in Ireland.

Still can't find them in shipping records.

Apart from the odd query that might turn out by chance to be easy I think after 5 years my tree is now well and truly into the difficult-brick wall stage.

I've still not had any luck with shipping records, so perhaps try 1881 please, Barbara. That still gives him at least 5 years.
