Hi, Just joined today. I am hoping that someone can help me trace the family of my gg grandparents, James McDermott (born Ireland appx 1842) and his wife, Ann Welsh/Walsh born in Co. Durham appx 1845. I've been able to trace their marriage in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1865. They then moved to Carlisle where my g grandmother was born in 1866. From census records they seem to have moved about a bit locally (other siblings on census records show births inScotland and Cockermouth, but eventually settled in Carlisle.
