McKnight, Baker, Spencer

#1
I am looking for information on Alexander McKnight b.1900 in Portadown d. 1970 (probably in or around Dover, Kent, England). He married Mary Berthalina Baker b. in London d. 1980

They had the following children: Alexander b. 1934, Ronald b. 1935, Patricia b. bet 1936 & 1941, Doreen b. 1942, Charles b. 1945 & John b. 1947. I know for certain Alexander, Doreen, Charles & John where born in Dover. I am sure if Ronald & Patricia were.

I do not know the names of Alexander McKnight's parents or siblings.

The parents of Mary Berthalina Baker are Christopher Baker and Daisy Spencer. I do not have any other information on them. They may have had a daughter named Daisy S. Baker b. 1914 in Wandsworth, Greater London, London, Surry, England - But I am not 100% certain she is their daughter

I'm not certain really where to look for information on people born in the UK or how to trace them.

If anyone has any information on this any member of this family please contact me.

Thank you!

Hi

I have just Googled and found Portadown.

Irish BMDs have just been submitted to the FamilySearchRecordSearch website.

Registration of births, marriages and deaths started in Ireland in 1864. I hope this also applied to Northern Ireland though.

To get the full details of the 1933 marriage in Dover will invole having to send off for the marriage certificate through the ref numbers given at the General Register Office website.

Hi Helen, you can actually order them Uk certificates on line, you will need name, year, quarter, volume and page number and of course you have to pay for them. . I bet you could also order them by mail, I have never tried that. Joyce
