donald mclean (B 1815)wed christina campbell (B 1834) in 1874 stornoway scotland i have donalds father as finlay and mother margaret mcdonald but am not sure of this as it was posted to me as a "maybe" from donalds first marriage to ann mckenzie ages ago, can anyone find these marriages for me as i dont seem to be having any luck, to verify donalds father at least, with thanks.

There is a marriage for a Donald McLEAN to a Christina CAMPBELL in 1874 at Stornoway, Ross and Cromarty on ScotlandsPeople.

You could get a copy of that marriage but it may or may not list the parents.

I wonder if this is Donald and Ann. Alexander Mckenzie is with them, Ann's brother If so could they have married about 1848 (youngest child 2 in 1851 and called Margaret after G. mother?)

thanks again, i have the first census you have, i think the last two are right as donald was a ships captain, and if the 1881 is right then alex mckenzie is on that, so somehow i have this marriage to christine campbell wrong as donald would be deceased then .so now i have to find ann and donalds marriage for his father. but thanks again x
