looking for marriage between Mary McCoy b1852 and Edward Taylor b1850ish in Birmingham. Sometime after 1889.

I have not found the marriage, but Mary was a widow in 1891 and married to Edward in 1901

Are just Edward and James listed as his sons with the others as stepchildren?? I dont have a 1901 copy?

Wish I'd not started looking.
Turns out Mary McCoy's maiden name was Taylor
No one can find a marriage for Edward and Mary.
James Annie amd Edward (jnr) seem to be birth registered as McCoy but change to Taylor at the next census.
Is this because you could not register a child in a mans name unless he was your husband?????
I cant trace Edwards parents as predicted dob changes fron census to census and without certificates I have 10 options. likewise with Mary.

HELP!!!!
