My great grandfather served in the Boer war and WW1. My aunty has this and I was wondering if anybody knows what it is? I don't know if it is a medal or badge relating to his regiment????
Thanks
Abbie

Hi Abbie, chances are he was fairly old during WW2(yes the cap badge is from then)....the ARP were made up from men and woman usually to old to serve in the frontline of war.....there jobs were still dangerous and if he served in the Boar war,WW1 then he would have wanted to contibute in WW2...and if this was his badge on his head then he did:)

Thanks Dave. I managed to access the website and found some interesting info about Hull during WWII as well. He was getting on during WWII and it would not have been an easy job given the amount of air raids Hull had. I am feeling very proud of my Robert Webster :)
