I am looking for my paternal grandfather, charles Wright Copping, I know he was born in Kensington abt 1872 but can't find any registration. Can anyone help.

Thankyou, yes this them, I already have this census record, but thankyou for your work on this, it is Charles birth registration that seems to be eluding me I know he existed but can't find him

Sorry, Hadn't realised you were new to the site.

As you rightly say there seems to be no record of Charles Wright Copping's birth.
I wonder if his middle name Wright, could be his mother's maiden name?
Could he have been born before she married?
Copping could have been added at a later date.

There is a birth registered,
Charles Wright JAS 1872 Kensington 1a 164
Could this be him?

Hello yes I think that this is him, like you I thought perhaps his mother's maiden name was wright, but on his marriage cert. his father's name is also Charles Wright Copping and I have now located my gggrandfather and his name was Wright Copping, anyway can you tell me where you found this birth record I have been searching every site I could find. However, now you mention about his father and Grandfather's names, I am now unsure this is correct.
