Agnes looks to be Ferguson. No births with mother = Mary Murray.

CARSTAIRS
JOHN
JOHN CARSTAIRS/AGNES FERGUSON
M
09/06/1841
438/
30 76
Kilrenny

So, don't know if Mary Murray is correct or not.

Better look for another John Carstairs with daughter Margaret born abt 1846 in 1851.

One other Margaret in Kilrenny with parents Thomas & Margaret.

Thanks gibbo.

It looks as of Mary Murray is an error by informant.

I'm looking for early events in Vic. to narrow down arrival.

Thanks gibbo.

Mentiply in census and Mentiplay in Vic. in later years.

William was a fisherman in Vic as well. Lots of articles in Trove. He did not like certain lakes being closed to fishing for many months of the year.
