I think that I am a distant cousin - the Miles's in Crankypants 2nd July post are my direct ancestors, going down the Benjamin/Benjamin line.

I had been following the same line as in this thread, and had followed the "Chemist" line with interest. I have no definite proof of this connection but would be interested if you have.

I have a few older bits & peices back into the late 1700's. Bill

Thomas Miles and Gertrude Miles were my Grandads (Reginald Bertie Miles) parents, Crankypants post shows Thomas as a young lad with his brothers and sisters, but his father was also called Benjamin.

I am also quiet new to this and all I have is the link to my Grandad, kindly found by crankypants.
