Can anyone relate to the name MINETT who in about 1854 emigrated to USA from Islington, London.??

Some I think eventually settled in Kentucky, New Jersey,

Names of some of the folk who emigrated are:-

Julius Ceasar MINETT, Jemima Caroline MINETT (married William Taylor, William and a daughter both died in about 1854 when a church roof collapsed killing them both and other I expect in USA.) Lavina Louise MINETT, Decimus Minett and Eusebrus Valentine MINETT

Not all are popular names I would have thought, so if anyone can help I would be grateful.

Hi Julie,
Thank you for the info on the Minett Family Members you have found, The names certainly link with what we have on the Family Tree, and I shall be very busy updating it with the new family members I feel sure you have supplied us with.
I am doing the Minett family with my sister who lives in NZ so I have emailed her with the news, and soon as she wakes up she will be in touch.
Thank you again for all the messages you sent.
Still no Joseph James Minett death, I wonder if he died under dia consequences and was never registered.
We do have a few Minett marriage certificates, and it seems very few Minett relatives ever witnessed the marriage's. Seems so peculiar. They must have all married for Love and not money, and it was frowned on for some reason.
Not Sense or Sensibility that is for sure.!!
