Death 25030/1962 NOTLEY MINNIE LOUISE - EDWARD - ISABELLA - BURWOOD * 18 Sep

No age at death. Looking for Minnie's birth and details of her parents.

Thanks,

Hi Dave,
I'm married to a great-nephew of Minnie. She was born around 1886 to Edward Robert Bailey and Isabella Amelia Armstrong. She married Walter Francis Notley in 1906 at Wollongong, New South Wales, and had 5 children, Doris, Catherine Isabella Dorothea, Alice Daisy, Franklin Royal (Roy) and Leonard. She died on 19th September, 1962, in Croydon, NSW.

Edward Robert Bailey was born in Toronto, Canada, in 1853. He came to Australia working on ships, and then worked on coastal steams on the east coast of Australia. He met and married Isabella Amelia, daughter of convicts Charles Armstrong from Ireland, and Naomi Wright from Hertfordshire, England. They had 6 children - William Armstrong, Arthur Edward, Albert Ernest, Annie, Minnie Louise and Diasy Louise. He died on 10th August, 1912, at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Camperdown, NSW, and is buried at the Rookwood Cemetery. Isabella was born on 24th April, 1848, at Leighwood, NSW. She had 6 children out of wedlock before she married Edward (the father is probably Alexander McInnes). She died on 28th August, 1938, at Wonona, NSW.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Elizabeth Ranah Long,
Proserpine, Queensland, Australia

Thanks for the details Elizabeth.

I'll check and add to my tree and post any query I find.

My tree has several connections to the Palmer family hence the connection to Notley but well off my main line.

Dave
