Hi , I am Clare . I live in Australia . Does anyone know
any Rumsby's from Norfolk ? I am descended from
Ann Rumsby who was sent to Australia on the convict ship the
'Mary Ann ' from Portsmouth. She came from Norfolk.

there are several trees on line. The family came from Suffolk with only Ann born in Norfolk. Her brother James 1798/1878 stayed in Suffolk, married and died there. He is on 1841/51 census born Metfield/Hoxne living Fressingfield. Other siblings are Mary 1788, Robert 1790, Elizabeth 1795, William 1801, - (went to USA)
Their parents were Benjamin 1744/1835 and Penelope Richards 1761/1824
grandparents were James 1723/1780 and Rebecca Keeble 1723/1747
g grandparents Phillip Russell and Mary Cobb`1681
g g grandparents Robert 1640 and Mary Thompkins 1640
