Hi Gill,

Sorry to but in here - but your username is set as your email address. I say this as I am concerned that your email address is available for everyone to see. Not only that, there are 'bots' scanning all the websites looking for email addresses. You will get loads or spam and unwanted messages!:'(

We pride ourselves here of hiding all email addresses.

If you want us to change your username, please let us know.
if not, don't worry - its upto you.

Regards,
Dave

Hi Gill,

Have you considered that they may have emirgrated?.

Found a C Bampton on the New York Passenger list.

Arrival date 26 Jun 1920
Ship name Mauretania

C Bampton
Est year of birth 1887
English
Port of arrival New York

No port of departure listed.

Also found this one as well

C Bampton
Est year of birth 1901
Arrival date 9 Sep 1920
Port of Departure Para Brazil
Port of Arrival New YORK

He is listed on line 40 of the passenger listed, but somehow there seems to be a mistake on the image (cant find C Bampton).

Checked the two C Bampton's on the Ellis Island site both are down as Charles Bampton. The only thing is that C Bampton born abt 1887 is down as age 19 (transcription). Perhaps I was wrong in thinking that they emirgrated.

Hi,
I know that Clarence Bampton had 10 children & died in 1943, Fred Gregory died in France in 1917 but as to Corrie it is a complete mystery.
As you suggested he may have emigrated, possibly calling himself Charles or another name beginning with C. that is something I shall look into> Thanks Gill
