Missing names on War Memorials

After WWI the names that first appeared on War Memorials would have been supplied by family and friends in each community. With all the advances that have allowed in depth research, it is now not uncommon to find that some names were not included (in my own home town one of these was added almost 100 years later), and it has been established in the community I live in, four names have now been uncovered that were missed. Further research I have done personally has added another two. The process we now have to go through to check this information out before they can be added is time-consuming. In the event that we are successful, I shall let you all know we managed to get the names added.

The CWGC has been an enormous assistance in this matter and the word 'thanks' is insufficient for their dedication and commitment.
