No: 47 – Samuel J Moore age 20 of the Parish of Castle Hills to Elizabeth Fishburn age 18 of Parish ditto married by Banns 9 Nov 1835 – by me Samuel Marden Chaplain.

Elizabeth Fishburn b 18 April 1817 NSW – William Henry Fishburn (1795-1872) & Catherine Ash (1796-1839) – parents married 8 July 1816 St John’s Parramatta
# note for father William
William was the son of First Fleet marine, Andrew Fishburn. In 1810 he was apprenticed to G.J Palmer of Windsor. He was granted 60 acres of land at Castle Hill in 1818. He was a constable for the district of Castle Hill and Pennant Hills from 1821 until he resigned in 1825 due to ill-health. The 1828 Census shows he was a publican at Baulkham Hills. His second wife, Catherine, came free with her mother and 5 siblings per HMS Kangaroo on 10/1/1814 to join her father, Christopher Ash. Elizabeth Bean was the widow of William Bean who had 8 children of her own. There are two glass windows to the family in St Paul's Church of England at Castle Hill. - Parramatta Pioneer Register, Settlement to 1920.

Samuel J Moore b 22 Oct 1815 Castle Hill NSW – William Moore (1783-1842) & Eleanor Wise (1785-1862) – parents married 12 April 1813 St John’s Parramatta
father William b Dec 1783 Leicester, arrived as a 7 yr convict on “Royal Admiral” 20 Nov 1800 – convicted of stealing while armed.

Eleanor b 1785 London, arrived on “Minstrel” - convict 7 yrs

Samuel James Moore died Jan 1902

1st wife – NOT 2nd as per previous post - married Catherine Ash (1796-1839) on 8 July 1816
