Elizabeth Fishburn b 18 April 1817 NSW – William Henry Fishburn (1795-1872) & Catherine Ash (1796-1839) – parents married 8 July 1816 St John’s Parramatta

William was the son of First Fleet marine, Andrew Fishburn. In 1810 he was apprenticed to G.J Palmer of Windsor. He was granted 60 acres of land at Castle Hill in 1818. He was a constable for the district of Castle Hill and Pennant Hills from 1821 until he resigned in 1825 due to ill-health. The 1828 Census shows he was a publican at Baulkham Hills. His second wife, Catherine, came free with her mother and 5 siblings per HMS Kangaroo on 10/1/1814 to join her father, Christopher Ash. Elizabeth Bean was the widow of William Bean who had 8 children of her own. There are two glass windows to the family in St Paul's Church of England at Castle Hill. - Parramatta Pioneer Register, Settlement to 1920.
