Hi,
I am looking for the mother of Charles and Henry Smith. Charles born about 1853 and Henry about 1857 in Worcestershire. Possible father William.
William married Harriet Hooper 25/8/1858. Marriage cert. shows William to be a widower. I am thinking (maybe wrongly!) that Charles and Henry are from first marriage.
I have a family shown in 1861 as living in Northwick, Worcester.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks Pam

Hi,
Have just realised I may have been down this road before! I have not done anything for about 2 years, so apologies to anyone who helped me before. I need to get back on track with everything.
Thanks
Pam

Hi Joyceawood17,
Thank you for replying, I am almost sure now that the father was a William.
I have a census for 1861 which shows Charles and Henry with birth dates before William and Harriets marriage. I know that children can be born out of wedlock, but as William was a widower I wondered if they were from his first wife.
I am having trouble locating births for Charles, and Henry, there are so many!
Family lived in Worcester.
Pam
