Just doing a few twigs on the tree, and I came upon this baptism.

Mary Bone was baptised in 1818, and born in Chesham, Bucks. Baptised as a non com.

But in 1896 St Mary the Virgin, Amersham, Bucks...I found this............

Baptism - 20 Jun 1896. Mary child of Edmund & Margaret BONE of Amersham Common, Wheelwright, Mrs GRIMSDELL, widow of Chesham, adult.

I've come across a few late baptisms, but at 78, she must have been hard to hold, over the Font.:2fun:

Grimsdell/dale.....always brings a smile to my face, with Norman Wisdom in mind.

She died in 1902, bless her.:)

The baptism shows in Ancestree, but does not give those details. So as far as anyone knows reading that transcript, she was born around 1896. (Another reason to look at original records, or the transcript from a better source).

Steve.:)

I hate to say this but you are showing your ge - I should imagine that a large percentage of the younger generation have never heard of Norman and Mr Grimsdale!
