Thanks Barbara.

Says 'Free' and not 'FreeS' = Free by Servitude so I didn't think Rebecca would have been a convict.

Also, I was searching ships starting with 'K'

69x Burrows convicts but no Rebecca.

No application to marry on the NSW Records site.

Only two on the list of convict vessels and neither fit.

Medway 1821 VDL Borthwick Wight Thomas Davies 53rd regt.,
Medway 1825 VDL Borwick Wight Gilbert King 57th regt.

It's ok Barbara. I'll let you know if I can't get it tomorrow at the local library. Be at the State Library as planned on Wed.

Tried in Staffs but so far can't see a birth/baptism that fits.

May not be from that county.

Can't see a birth/baptism on FS that fits for Rebecca born abt 1810.

Have not yet worked out how Susan fits.

No marriage or death in NSW index for a Susan Hayward.

No marriage in NSW for a Susan to a Hayward.

Have not tried Heyward or Haywood.

The Sydney Morning Herald (NSW : 1842 - 1954) Tue 3 Jul 1849 Page 1 Advertising

Charles and Susan Hayward on a list of people farewelling the Rev. William Purves from Port Macquarie.

Next hit in Trove for a Susan Hayward is 1925.

We are lucky the marriage has age for Charles and Rebecca. Parents on the two death reg may or may not be correct.

Don't know where they were born in England.

Back to this marriage

Marriage 314/1855 V1855314 44B PARTRIDGE JOHN W - HAYWARD SUSANNA -
CK= CofE Port Macquarie

This is a problem

Bap HAYWARD SUSANAH 1529/1836 V18361529 23A CHARLES REBECCA

Bap HAYWARD SUSANAH 182/1836 V1836182 44A CHARLES REBECCA

A baptism before the 1837 marriage.

So who married in 1855?? the daughter or Susan the sponsor?

Where is the death for Susan the sponsor?

Marriage
1323/1834 V18341323 18 PARTRIDGE STEPHEN - DOWN JULIA C - CK= CofE Port Macquarie

So we have no death for Susan the sponsor or Susanna who married John Partridge.

No death in NSW index 1855 - 1940 for any surname with given name = sus* and parents Charles & Rebecca.

No death in NSW index 1835 - 1940 for any Hayward with given name = sus* and parents Charles & Rebecca.

No death as an infant for daughter Susanna.

Probably the daughter who married John Partridge but can't find a death.

Can find nothing on Susan the sponsor for the two baptisms.
