names missing on marriage cert

Hi

I am hoping someone may be able to offer an explanation as to why when my
grandmother married in 1920s her father's name and occupation didn't appear
on the certificate, in fact there was a line drawn through, I am puzzled as there
is a father named on her birth cert. Any ideas as to why this may have happened would be great

Years ago I was in contact with a GR member. It was regarding a Marriage to a connection on my tree.Groom (His Side) had married a widow (My side) His parents were missing on Cert. I found 1 family in the town Nottingham with that Surname, but not a bapts at that time. I think they had a falling out over the marriage. Came to pass that another GR member had his Bapts. and family in Nottingham where his parents. That was 1899marriage.
