Being old and sometimes ignorant :D , I would have thought he was either Stepgrandson or Grandstepson. I think I would use the first !!

Let's see what other people think !!

Just had a thought tho, you wouldnt have to use the word "step" inless it was on offical papers would you? Couldnt he just be called a grandson otherwise, as not to make him feel different to the other grandchildren?

3 For the purposes of the Act, “direct descendant” means the son, daughter,
stepson, stepdaughter, grandson, granddaughter, grand-stepson, grandstepdaughter, great-grandson, great-granddaughter, great-grand-stepson or great-grand-stepdaughter of an individual, or the spouse of any of them.
