I don't know what happened to Edward senior or Edward junior. I don't know if they both died in England or if junior also made it to Australia or if both of them did. I don't even know if Edward senior remarried after Ann died on 28 Sep 1839 at Redruth.

I have a possible arrival in South Australia for John.

I have a definite arrival for Thomas in 1848.

I have no arrival for Eliza. Married in Victoria on 15 Apr 1852.

Not this one:

Hi Dave,

Not sure if this marriage is for Edward jnr.

1860 - Liskard

Bride Johanna Demstone (or Dunston) Down.

The last siting for this couple together is 1871. They have a daughter Elizabeth E Nancarrow who is listed as niece to a John Down (transcribed as Donn) in 1891. There is a death for a Joanna Nancarrow 1890 district Newton Abbot Devonshire, John Down and family are living in the civil parish of Stoke Damarel, Devon.

I will go and have another look on the 1881 census.

Hi Dave,

There is a marriage for a Edward Nancarrow in 1851 district Redruth - Jan/Feb/Mar. There isn't a Elizabeth Stephens listed but only 3 brides and 4 grooms.

Just had a look on the marriage pages it looks like there is an Elizabeth Stephens marriage the district looks like Redruth.

Hello Julie,

Thank you very much.

Looking at 1851 with John S there is no John who fits in 1841 and no age for Edward junior, or are they both step-sons?

Regards,

Dave

So we have both senior and junior in 1851 and a death for junior 1861 - 1871.

Oh, spouse is not a widow in 1881.

The only one I can find 1851 - 1861:

Deaths Jun 1859
NANCARROW Edward Liskeard 5c 40

An no deaths for an Edward at all in RD Redruth from 1851 onwards.

I noticed that one Julie. I also noticed a baptism in Camborne in 1837 for an Edward son of John & Grace.

I found one tree that has the three children in Victoria with their deaths but no shipping details. All they have for the family is the 1841 census.

Thanks Julie.

We have to consider what happened to Edward son of John & Grace.

Also the Liskeard connection with the death in 1859 there and the 1860 marriage. If that is the death of Edward senior then it adds strength to it being the marriage for junior.

I'm looking at the map of Cornwall. ;)

Liskeard is far from Redruth.

Now where is Stoke Climsland? East of Liskeard.

A real shortage of deaths in England that fit any of these three Edwards.

Hi Dave,

Hav'nt got any further finding Edward son of John and Grace.

Just wondering if Edward jnr did go abroad. On the 1861 census a Elizabeth Stephens nee Nancarrow has her husband (possibily a James Stephens) as miner in Americia.

Now I'm really confused. :D

Elizabeth STEPHENS aged 9 in 1851 is married to a STEPHENS by 1861?
