Hi Dave,

The Edwa** Nancarrow travelling to the US was born abt 1838 arrived New York Aug 1873 occ labourer. Cant find him in on any of the census. There is a Edward Nancarrow in Pennsilvaynia occ miner (not on the census) and looks like he died in 1910 marital status single no age given.

Thanks Julie.

About all we can say is that we have two born about the same time and a possibility that even both ended up in America.

Hi Dave,

There is a Jessie Simpson (born abt 1860) death in 1934 Geelong, Victoria. Father Edward
Nancarrow mother Elizabeth maiden name unknown. Could this be Jessie who married a Symons in the US?

Thanks Julie.

That could be the Jessie in 1871 listed 13 born Calstock, but it's news to me.

I have the children born in Australia to John and Thomas and there is no Jessie at all and no children born to either after 1855.

We need to find the 2nd marriage for Jessie.

Using jessie/jesse simmons/simmonds + simpson/simson I can find no marriage in Victoria.

Hi,

Death - 16 Sep 1894 Salt Lake City Utah

Edward Nancarrow
Birth date 1838
Birthplace England
Occ miner
Widowed
Father birthplace English

Thanks Julie. I wonder which Edward that is. Didn't say Elizabeth or Grace. Asking too much. ;)

A death for Catherine would help solve one bit of the puzzle. Well:

By 1871 Catherine is a widow
so her spouse died before 1894 and before 1871.

So two things we don't yet have:

A death for the other Edward before 1871

A death for Catherine after 1871.

Also

Births Dec 1869
NANCARROW Elizabeth Emma Tavistock 5b 367

what happened to Emma/Elizabeth after 1881. I'll start looking using Emma first.

This one:

Births Mar 1860
NANCARROW Emma Redruth 5c 292

could explain this one:

Marriages Jun 1888
BAWDEN Thomas Redruth 5c 325
**** William Redruth 5c 325
Nancarrow Annie Redruth 5c 325
Nancarrow Emma Redruth 5c 325

Ok marriage if any after 1891 census with DOWN family.

I can find no tree that has Emma/Elizabeth.

So far William **** probably married Annie Nancarrow.

1891 - CP Illogan - RD Redruth - Sub RD Illogan

Ann Nancarrow age 63 born Illogan
Annie **** daughter age 25 born Illogan
William **** son in law age 25 born Illogan
Willian g/son age 2 born Illogan

Thanks for matching them.

I found the marriage then ruled it out not just because of the location and other birth but because you had her in 1891 unmarried, I presume.

Looking for Catherine - re son Edward:

Births Mar 1859
NANCARROW Edward Merthyr T 11a 344

I wonder about this:

name: C Nancarrow
age: 63
gender: Female
birth year: 1818
birthplace: Milbrow, Cornwall, England
relationship to head of household: Wife
marital condition: Married
profession/occupation:
address: 4 Gunner Street
census place: Portsea, Hampshire, England
disability:
record type: Household
family history library film: 1341282
the national archives reference: RG11
piece/folio: 1152 / 26
page number: 1
Household Gender Age
spouse Willm Nancarrow M 65
C Nancarrow F 63
child Edwd Nancarrow M 22

That's the only birth in England I can see for an Edward 1856 - 1864.

Hi Dave,

Catherine Nancarrow (Chambers) was born Lee Gloucestershire abt 1823. Daughter Elizabeth (Chambers) born Merthyr Tydfill abt 1850. Son Edward died in 1875.

So marriage in 1858 and birth in 1859 both in Merthyr T is a coincidence. And the Edward in reg and in 1881 has no connection to Catherine.
