Naval Records and possible Death at Sea

Valued Member

This is not exactly a migration, but rather a possible death at Sea.

Because of a time line (from his will) - my Richard Gorringe died sometime between 8th January 1768 and about the beginning of August 1770. As he was a mariner he may have died at sea and there would not be any record of his burial.

I'd like to obtain his naval records. He was from the Westminster area, London. (birth u/k but his brother Abraham was born in 1731 Westminster). I'd also like to find his birth and the actual date of his death (he was a bachelor)

Gorringe has been spelt Goringe Gorange and later Goring
