naval records - John Roberts

Hi there,

Please could someone assist me in finding any navy records for the following man:

John Roberts was born about 1766 in Dover, Kent and was a Lieutenant of Royal Navy at time of his marriage in 1798. By retirement he was a Commander (Last Ship) H.M.S. Terrible.

I would really appreciate anything on him.
