William James Love was born 1873, need death date
Annie Edith Sefton was born 1879 , need death date

William was married to Annie Edith Sefton Dec 1898,
I believe he was in the military.
I see that in the 1901 Census, Annie is listed with her daughter Stella ONLY and Stella is listed as her daughter

I see that in the 1911 Census, Stella is listed as an Inmate at address Midland Road Worcester, which I believe is Cottage Homes, possibly an Orphanage.

It appears that mom and dad both must have died as it looks like Stella Edith Love was put into some kind or Orphanage

Thank you all for your previous help on the info that I received for Stella Edith Love.

Hi Dave, thank you. I am wondering if maybe this might not be it.

in looking further into the Cottage Homes, I found 3 children altogether that had the Surname of Love,

Stella born 1899
Irene born 1905
Alec born 1907

so if these children are in this "Home" (there appears to be about 50 children living here) which seems to me to be some kind of orphanage, then the father had to be around to sire them after 1901.
I could be wrong and maybe these are not his other children other than Stella

and i did find the one you posted for me, but it didn't make sense.

and what happened to the Mother, Annie Edith Love, where did she go.

was there a great sickness in England during the 1901-1911 maybe, did lots and lots of people die.

please please keep looking, my first problem is being American born and I do not understand some of the British terminology.

good night to you, I should be off.
Camille

Hello Camille,

Copies of certificates can always be purchased on-line if you want to go down that route.

If baptism records can't be found then it's hard to say if the others are siblings of Stella or not.

Sometimes the only solution to a problem is to eliminate others.

I can't find the registration for my great grandfather's birth around 1864 in Liverpool, Lancashire. I have copies of the birth certificates for his siblings also born Liverpool but I can't find his. I have several that might have been the right one but proved not to be.

Regards,

Dave

Ok, found out what happened to Annie Edith or Elizabeth Love, mother to Stella, Rene, Nita, and Alexander. After the birth of Alexander, I think 1907 Annie was admitted into an asylum in Powick, Malvern, Worcs., it seems that she had a breakdown after just having had her youngest child, Alexander and her husband William James Love left her for another women. The children were placed into an Orphanage called Cottage Homes or something like that.

I found a Annie Edith Love that had died in Malvern, see below, and this makes sense because her granddaugher whom finally wrote to me, she is about 82, said that Annie Love lived well into her nineties. So this must be her.
