Hi All,

Been researching for over 30 years but since I started in my late teens I'm not as old as you might think ;) Run a Ballard genealogy website with 300 pedigrees on it and nearly 18,000 Ballards in my database. In the process of writing a series of books on the early Ballard families of England.

Born in Hasings, Sussex but now live in Co Mayo, Ireland having moved here after retiring from an IT career a few years ago.

Have 3 children (all grown & flown) as well as 3 grandsons with a fourth grandchild due in the next month.

I like your user name, how did you choose it. Or shouldn't I ask.:)
Well Steve I borrowed it from a book by John Gierach entitled "Trout Bum" and well worth a read for anyone who thinks that they are addicted to fly fishing and wants to see how a real addict lives! Mind you, with the dire state of river & loch in the west these days you'd need to be addicted to thrash waters for trout or salmon in Ireland at the moment! :'(
