I have only just in the past hour joined this site and would like to say hello to everyone.

I started family history about 25 years ago but with going out to work full time etc I didn't really have the time to devote to it, back in the 80's it was a case of visiting the archives etc, now it is much easier with the advent of the computer - having said that though there is nothing quite like looking, for example, in a register that may be more than a hundred years old and has the name and details of your ancestor.
A year or two ago I find a site that gave the names of people that had died in the last few years, I cannot really recall how many years it went back but I think about 10-15 if not more, it was a useful little tool really to see if any members of your family or absent friends that may have passed on! Somehow or the other I have deleted the web site and cannot find anyone else that knows of it, would be really grateful if anyone here has the address.

My mothers ancestors were drovers and lived in Islington - my fathers ancestors were Irish, all hailing from County Cork.
The names I am most interested in are as follows: Ward, Butterfield, Ridgwell, Hagan, McAuliffe, Hennessy, McNamara. I have a lot of information of the Wards of Islington and would be more than willing to pass it on to anyone that was interested.

Happy New Year to you all
Kathy
