Hi, I'm Margaret, I've just joined, I've been researching for quite a while and I'm hoping to find more family members, it seems I have a link with Suffolk but I'm having difficulties with the Garwood family. It would be nice if I could find out more. Also, a family that used the surname Hurst or Husk, possibly Ludlow or Bewdley, slippery character by all accounts!

Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm looking for Mary, b. 1843 from Ruardean, Glos.,wife of Joseph Garwood b.1844, from Suffolk, but no idea what her surname is, there are several choices. I'm also looking for the husband/partner of Susan Crump, John Hurst, but possibly using the name of Husk, b. about 1863, Ludlow, a chimney sweep. Susan was born 1858, Wolverley, Kidderminster, she died in 1944 in Wolverhampton. If I can help anyone on this site I'll happily have a go.

Wow, that's quite a good start. I suppose the problem I have is that I've tried to work on several trees rather than concentrating on one and doing it properly. I've added Albert to the Garwood tree but I still haven't found a birth certificate for him with the relevant mothers maiden name.
Crump, I've got a lot of info on them and our John Hurst/Husk was a bit of a lad, we found various bits about court cases and his involvement, his (step)son Joseph, was my husbands granddad, he left home to go to Birmingham, he didn't want to go up the chimney as a sweep, I don't think he was treated very well! Thank you all so much, what an amazing group you are.
