Hello all,
I am a new member to this forum and although I have been researching my tree for about three years this is the first time I have made contact with any type of forum so please bare with me until I get used to it.
I am tracing the following names Brett/Britt before 1850 in the East Sussex area, after 1850 in the Warwick (Solihull) area and also Tipton and Wolverhampton areas.
Gutteridge/Guttridge in the Dudley/Sedgley areas.
Coombs in Shropshire and Tipton/Dudley/Sedgley areas.
Wilkinson in Tipton/Dudley areas.

Hopefully a reader will have interest in at least one of the above families.

regards,

Hi Tiptontel

I am researching Coombs in London. I believe there is a West Country connection somewhere but cannot yet prove it.

welcome to the FHUK forums.

Hi Ben, Thanks for the reply, as yet I have not found any connections with London other than the odd family member working there for a few months in 1901 but if I do find any thing I will let you know.

Hi
I am researching Sophia Jane Coombe she was from St Austell in Cornwall and married John Hoy in London the year after her marriage she is back in Cornwall as Sophia Hoy. After her marriage she appears to have lived in London I have not been able to discover why she was in London in the first place. But may be if she had relatives there that would explain why she was there.

I know very little about the family her Mother was Sophia Coombe who I know know nothing about Sophia Jane had a sister Elizabeth Ann Coombe.

There is no mention in any of the records that I have of who the father was!
