:) Hello everyone, really hooked on tracing my family tree but stuck on one branch as not much info for them on-line.Thought the name Moses Mann would be easy to trace but apart from a death record and an entry on 1901 cencus can find nothing much else.Maybe he used another name.He had six children so someone out there may have been more sucessfull,if so would be very interested to hear.He was born in Leeds and was living there in 1901 and died there 1910 aged 56,wife's name Elizabeth nee Storr, other than that he's a bit of a mystery !!

Julie
OOH, Julie - how great to find an 80 year old grandmother with him in 1881! Almost back to the C18th!

Here's Mary in 1871:

19 Primrose Place, Leeds

George Locker, Head, Marr, 71, Dyehouse Labourer, born Leeds, Yorkshire
Mary Locker, Wife, Marr, 70, born Leeds, Yorkshire
George L Manns, Grandson, Marr, 27, Machine Fitter, born Leeds, Yorkshire
John W Callaghan, Gt Grandson, 5, born Leeds, Yorkshire

No sign of Mrs Manns, and a hint that a daughter of the Lockers may have married a Callaghan.

Kind Regards
THJnr

Hi Helen, I am married to a great grandson of Moses Mann and Elizabeth Jane Storr. I'm hitting exactly the same problem as you. The family believe that Moses' father was a Moses Holroyd but have no details of the mother. Moses Holroyd appears in many census records but always living with his mother and then brother Thomas and always shows as single so I'm stuck on this one.
