interesting – Sydney Gazette & NSW Advertiser – Sat 26 April 1834 – List of Assignments of male convicts in the month of February last – has above Nicholas Cavillon – Richard Corkett , Parramatta a soldier & under has Nicholas , ditto, a warehouseman & stable boy.



Commercial Journal & Advertiser Wed 26 Feb 1840 = Parramatta Police – A few days since Nicholas Cavillon was brought before the bench for a violent assault on his wife – this is about the third or fourth time…..

The court records are a bit confusing re the 'partners' of N F A. One was a 'Mary Cavillon', one an Isabella Phillips and one was a Victoire.

Don't know the exact year yet Nicholas adopted Cavillon. From those two it was either 1823 or 1824.

I presume Joseph was living in Parramatta in 1869. Don't know when he moved to Redfern.

In 1832 Nicholas purchased a house in George st, Parramatta.

Nicholas from about 1834 was a Publican. Later he became a baker.

It's two convicts being assigned to Nicholas.
