Dave im wondering if a birth / baptism for Evan and William cant be found because Lloyd isnt their surname, i feel Rachel might have been married previously and the boys are from her first marriage.

Can't find a baptism for Evan as THOMAS.

If that explains it then the parents on Evan's death reg are correct.

Can't find the two marriages for Rachel.

Can't find a baptism for Rachel junior, Eliza, Mary, David or John.

Found a bit more on your exile. I have put a ? on the bits that were a bit hard to read. Will email you a copy of the record. Found it on FMP. I still feel that David is his stepfather.

Just checked Cardiganshire for a baptism for Evan as Loyd/Lloyd or Thomas and no luck.

No marriage in Cardiganshire for David to Rachel.

That is just what i have been checking out but got no further.

1841 Rachel was aged 60 so born around 1781.
Evan born 1811 so Rachel would have been around 30 when she had him.
William born 1820 so Rachel would have been around 40 when she had him.

I prefere this one. If names are anything to go by Rachel had named a couple of kids John and Mary.

They are Evan and Mary's children.

5 children fit the new bit you found on the exile.

Rachel's children look to be Evan, Ann and William + ?

Edward may not fit. Could be 2x Evan & Rachel.

Bettws and St. Mary's Hill are not close together.
